Dear White People (2017)
A story of a racially segregated university and how people so similar can seem so different, and how people so different can feel so similarly.
More nuanced was how the different black communities interacted among each other: Even though the line “It’s as if we go to a different school” was directed at a white student, different black student organizations themselves congregate in different groups as if they lived in different universes, some groups focused on student government and working closely with school administration and bureaucracy to compromise on leading change; others focused on systematically different approaches, organizing student-led protests and proud expression of their culture and frustration with status quo.
