Psycho (1960, Alfred Hitchcock)
Fantastic movie, I’m shocked I only watched this now.
Really reminded me of Perfect Blue (1997, Satoshi Kon) in some ways (revealing this would ruin the plot or suspense of the film).
Both these two films did an amazing job of invoking such intense emotion.
One fun detail that’s personal to me that I noticed (that I, hopefully, doubt holds any academic, cinematic or aesthetic value) are the two fiddle leaf fig trees featured – they’re so trendy these days in NYC 2020-2022, it’s fun to see how things last the test of time.
